My client, a reputable business based in the Highbridge area of Somerset, is looking to recruit a Commercial Assistant to help support the Commercial team during the tender process and once new customers sign contracts. You will be key to ensuring that all contracted terms shared internally and the customer is on boarded smoothly.
The main duties include:
- Assisting the estimating team with any commercial issues
- Liaising with a potential customer on contract related issues
- Ensuring contract documentation is stored correctly on the system
- Updating status of projects on company’s systems
- Sharing information to departments about the terms of contracts
- Updating system with any required documents post contract
- Recording financial terms of the contract
- Preparing variations for changes post contract and sending to the customer for agreement
- Working closely with production, site and finance team departments
- Maintain Valuation calendar for all projects
- Producing cash flows for jobs/works
- Ad-hoc duties to support the commercial team as required
This role is all about ensuring all documentation and contracts are accurately maintaining and updated through the tendering and quotation period, and that terms are understood for each project throughout the business. So to excel in this role you will be a confident communicator, be extremely organised, have good knowledge of MS Excel and have a keen eye for detail.
In return this role offers a competitive salary, 22 days (rising to 25 days) annual leave plus banks and an early finish on a Friday.
