Finance Administrator

Our client, based locally on the outskirts of Burnham-on-Sea, are looking for a Sales Ledger Assistant to join their team on a 6 month contract with the potential of going permanent.

You will be working in a small accounts team that reports to a large corporate head office.

You will be based in the office working alongside three other experienced team members.

Duties include:

  • Liaising with clients to ensure PO Numbers are in place prior to invoicing
  • Liaising with Credit Control to ensure that all data entered is aligned
  • Maintain registers tracking progress against all POs. This will involve escalation where necessary to Billing Manager, Finance Manager and relevant Sales team representative.
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Support the credit control team with any queries in a timely manner.
  • Support the sales team with PO queries with existing clients.
  • Communication with customers via phone and email to resolve queries.


Working hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with 30mins for lunch, this role will be based in offices where parking is available.

Experience of sales ledger would be ideal for this position alongside use of Excel.
