Our client, a manufacturing business based near Taunton, are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their accounts team. This role is ideally suited to someone that is interest in getting involved in month-end duties.
Working alongside the Financial Controller you will be supporting with analysis of stock and production statistics as well as supporting with purchase and nominal ledgers. As such you will need to have strong MS Excel skills (v-lookups, formula etc).
Responsibilities include:
- Processing of supplier invoices and generation weekly and monthly payment runs via BACS
- Resolving supplier invoice and payment queries
- Completion of cost centre, stock and labour reports on a monthly basis
- Assisting with month-end processing and reporting
- Fixed asset reporting
- Supporting the Financial Controller as required with statutory reporting and audits
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable accounts experience, strong MS Excel skills, ideally AAT or similar and be very methodical and detail orientated.
