HR Team Leader

We are currently looking to find a friendly, motivated and positive HR Team Leader to lead a fantastic HR Team for our Bridgwater based client.

As an experienced HR professional, you will be responsible for leading the Operational HR team in delivering a customer-focused, legally compliant HR service, managing day-to-day operations and acting as the main escalation point for complex matters.

Key duties include:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the HR team to deliver an effective, consistent, and professional HR service.
  • Allocate workload and monitor performance to ensure service standards and deadlines are met.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members, supporting their professional development.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-to-ones, ensuring clear communication and alignment with HR objectives.
  • Oversee and support the delivery of all HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and change initiatives.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for complex HR cases, providing expert advice and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law, company policies, and best practice across all HR activities.
  • Champion staff wellbeing and engagement initiatives across the organisation.
  • Support the HR Manager in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure HR documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyse HR metrics and trends, providing reports and recommendations to the HR Manager.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-effective solutions

The role is mainly office based with some flexibility to work from home.
