Change Recruitment are pleased to be working alongside an excellent business that provides services for local councils to recruit a new Management Accountant role. Reporting to the Head of Finance you will support in the production of accurate and timely management accounts for the senior management team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the production of management accounts as well as hold a minimum of an AAT qualification but ideally working towards/hold CIMA/ACCA.
Duties include:
- Preparing the monthly management accounts and delivering them to key stakeholders within the business.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow management and forecasting.
- Ensure accurate Finance KPI reporting is delivered.
- Variance analysis for forecasting vs budgets.
- Oversee payroll activities are completed accurately and to deadlines.
- Monitor fixed asset/capital expenditures.
- VAT reconciliations and assist with VAT submissions.
- Preparing quarterly and annual financial statements
- Assisting in provision of year-end accounts, forecasting, and annual budget processes.
- Process improvements within the wider finance function, help develop process guides for financial activities in support of ISO accreditation
- Adhoc reporting as required by senior leadership team
- To ensure that all line reports and their teams are inducted and trained appropriately on an ongoing basis, appraised and given opportunities to succeed.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to line reports, including undertaking regular 121s.
- Deputise for the Head of Finance or the role’s line reports in their absence.
- Carry out any other such reasonable job-related tasks as the Company may require you to undertake from time to time.
