Change Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a growing Somerset manufacturing business with a newly created Quality Manager role. Reporting directly into the Technical Services Director you will be fully responsible for the quality of all products and services. Working closely with the senior leadership team to identify and eliminate quality risks.
You will achieve this through the successful management and development of a senior Quality Controller and their team of circa 6 QC Assistants.
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for Quality Meetings, Quality Technical Support Services and Products.
- Liaise with suppliers through the procurement manager to resolve quality concerns and coordinate internal actions where necessary.
- Develop Quality Plan and Roadmaps to meet Customer Satisfaction, Warranty and internal quality metrics using company standards.
- Coordinates Production and manufacturing teams to improve quality using 6-Sigma methodology.
- Responsible for leading Quality Operating System (QOS) initiatives across all the manufacturing and production facilitates.
- Keep traceability records regarding quality actions for future reference.
- Co-ordinate/Participate in Quality audits and provide Quality data to enable site improvement.
- Lead cross functional team initiatives in quality to achieve no faults forward / zero defects.
- Ensure the QMS conforms to customer and regularity requirements.
- Manage the customer complaints process.
- Manage & Review sites scorecard.
This is the most senior role within quality within the business, and as such requires and experience and accredited quality professional. Ideally coming from an Engineering or Manufacturing background you will ideally have circa 5 years management experience. Also, you will hold a Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
