Change Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Sales / Logistics Coordinator for an established and growing manufacturing business based in Highbridge, Somerset. Working in a small but busy team you will be reporting to the Sales Manager, and your main responsibility will be to process sales orders, maximise ongoing sales and resolve any customer queries within agreed timescales.
This business prides itself on providing excellent customer service, and as such the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate this experience. You will be in liaison with both internal and external customers (both UK and overseas), and as such you will need to be able to build strong relationships quickly and ensure your customer is confident you have their best interests at heart and they can trust you.
Key duties to include:
- Manage customer specific stock levels in our external warehouses in the UK, Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland.
- Arrange daily dispatch of finished goods through our SAP IT system. Book deliveries with external transport and warehousing partners and following up on any issues that arise.
- Ensure all delivery documentation is complete and correct prior to dispatch to allow for smooth customs clearance to our customers in Europe and Ireland.
- Organise stock movements arriving into the UK from EU warehouse.
- Actively follow up on transport delays and complaints to the satisfaction of the customer & the company.
- Assist with controlling logistics costs and highlight potential savings.
- Provide cover to the Internal Sales team and assist with tasks as requested.
This is a very busy role and requires a candidate with a good understanding of Sales Administration / Coordination and the ability to multitask effectively. You will need to demonstrate experience working in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment, when applying for this role. As well as possessing strong IT skills, including ideally a knowledge/use of SAP.
