Change Recruitment are currently working with a growing organisation within the property management sector. They are currently looking for an experienced Senior Finance Assistant to join their accounts team on an 18 month contract with an immediate start offered.
This role goes beyond general transactional accounting duties and plays a key role in supporting and generating the month end reports for the business. As such it is a great fit for someone looking to take a next step in their accounts career.
General Accounting duties
- Taking and refunding deposit payments for tenants
- Calculating partial rent charges
- Allocating monies received against tenant charges#setting up and managing direct debit collections
- Reconciling bank accounts on a regular basis
- Supporting the customer service team and liaising with tenants as necessary to resolve queries
Monthly Reporting duties
- Completion of the quarterly VAT return and any reclaim re-charge
- Support budget and forecasting processes
- Provide support with month-end and year-end tasks and reporting
- Prepare Management accounts for a small subsidiary business
- Cashflow reporting and management
- Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc duties
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Good IT skills including knowledge of MSOffice suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Numerate and able to input data accurately
- Familiarity with essential accounting principles
- Organised, conscientious, focused, confident and assertive
In return this company is offering a fixed term contract for 18 months, salary of up to £27k, 1 day working from home once training is complete, onsite parking in central Taunton and a great working environment.
