Change Recruitment are currently working with a reputable and forward thinking accountancy practiced based in Weston-super-Mare. We are currently searching for a Tax Accountant to look after a portfolio of clients mainly focussed on personal tax. You will be working in a small team handling the larger and more complex clients, whilst supporting colleagues within the practice with tax queries.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent exposure to personal tax (2+ years experience) and ideally be ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified although this is not essential. Exposure to trust accounts would also be a huge benefit.
Your main duties will include:
- Overseeing the annual self-assessment process
- Reviewing and finalising complex self-assessment tax returns
- Advising clients of tax liabilities in a timely manner
- Liaising with clients and HMRC regarding compliance checks & disclosures
- Supporting colleagues with tax queries, acting as a subject expert
- Professionally representing the firm when dealing with clients, contacts, referrers and other third parties
In return this practice offers a competitive starting salary between £40k and £50k, 25 days holiday, CPD, flexible and hybrid working.
